Laboratory activities

The PhD course in Molecular and Regenerative Medicine offers doctoral students the opportunity to develop a research project, over a three-year period, to answer important scientific questions in the field of Biomedicine.
The PhD course provides the laboratories of the 22 professors making up the UNIMORE College, together with those of the 8 foreign professors. This multidisciplinary and international research activity allows PhD students to tackle different projects in the field of Molecular and Regenerative Medicine, with the aim of developing new diagnostic and prognostic tools or therapeutic approaches based on an advanced understanding of the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying human diseases.
The preparation acquired with this training course, also through the possibility of benefiting from High Apprenticeship grants, represents the preferential way to undertake research and development activities not only in the University or in public and private research structures, but also in the industries of health, pharmaceutical and biomedical products area.
Finally, the possibility of working in laboratories actively included in international networks facilitates the possibility of carrying out specialization periods (post-doc training) in prestigious foreign laboratories.
