Programme:

This course aims to give a general understanding of the basic knowledge and approaches of structure/function and structure/property relationship analyses of biological targets. To provide basic knowledge and computational approaches to predict: the structure, dynamics, and interaction of biological targets and to discover novel therapeutic agents for precision medicine. Some of the topics covered in the course are methods for protein secondary and tertiary structure prediction and structural characterization, theory and methods of molecular dynamics simulation, analysis of simulation trajectories, and computational approaches for intra/inter communication prediction. For each method, one or more application examples taken from the scientific literature will be presented. During the course, several hours will be dedicated to laboratory activities on the topics covered in the lessons.
