Laboratory Activities

The Ph.D. program in Molecular and Regenerative Medicine offers Ph.D. students the opportunity to develop a research project over a three-year period to address important scientific questions in the biomedical field.

The program provides access to the laboratories of the 22 faculty members from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, as well as those of the 8 professors from abroad Universities. This multidisciplinary and international research activity allows Ph.D. students to engage in various projects in the field of Molecular and Regenerative Medicine, with the aim of developing new diagnostic and prognostic tools or therapeutic approaches based on an advanced understanding of the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying human diseases.

The training acquired through this program, including the possibility of benefiting from High Apprenticeship scholarships (“borse di alto apprendistato”), represents the preferred path to pursue research and development activities both in universities, public as well as private research institutions and in industries related to healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and biomedical products.

Lastly, the opportunity to work in laboratories actively involved in international networks facilitates the possibility of undertaking periods of further specialization (post-doctoral training) in prestigious laboratories abroad.
