Molecular Simulation And Precision Medicine - XL Cycle
3 CFU
Schedule: Second year
Programme
The course aims at providing basic knowledge and approaches of computational structural biochemistry and structure/function and structure/property relationship analyses of biomacromolecules. The course provides basic tools to infer the structure, dynamics, and interaction of biological targets and to discover novel therapeutic agents for precision medicine. Topics include: methods for protein secondary and tertiary structure prediction; molecular dynamics simulation, analysis of simulation trajectories, and prediction of the structural communication. For each method, one or more application examples taken from the scientific literature will be presented. Several hours will be dedicated to laboratory activities on topics covered by the lessons.
